No way! The Pok¨¦mon Trainer has finally arrived. And it looks like he doesn¡¯t do his fighting directly.

Instead, he uses the three Pok¨¦mon with him¡ªSquirtle, Ivysaur, and Charizard¡ªto do the fighting for him.

He needs to use his three Pok¨¦mon to fight. So the only ones who fight directly are the Pok¨¦mon.

I guess you could say using this character is like playing three for the price of one!

And the Pok¨¦mon Trainer uses a special move called Pok¨¦mon Change to switch between them.

The returning Pok¨¦mon tags the next Pok¨¦mon.

Charizard! I choose you!

They swap out in a set order: Squirtle¡úIvysaur¡úCharizard.

They all share the same damage meter, so they don¡¯t recover from damage during Pok¨¦mon Change. But they also have another stat, which you might call stamina.

If you keep fighting with the same Pok¨¦mon, or if you change them out too often, it¡¯s not so good for the Pok¨¦mon.

If you want to be a good Pok¨¦mon Trainer, you¡¯ll need to learn these kinds of ins and outs.

Special Moves

The Pokémon Trainer commands three types of Pokémon. His down special move is a Pokémon Change, so each Pokémon has three special moves!

That’s nine in all. Amazing!

<Squirtle Up Special Move: Waterfall>

Squirtle splashes up the water torrent.

<Squirtle Side Special Move: Withdraw>

Is this the turtle’s so-called shell? It slides along the ground.

<Ivysaur Standard Special Move: Bullet Seed>

It fires a rapid seed barrage straight up in the air!

<Ivysaur Up Special Move: Vine Whip>

It can grab the edge with its whip! That was TOO close!

<Charizard Standard Special Move: Flamethrower>

We just had to have this. It is Charizard, after all.

<Charizard Side Special Move: Rock Smash>

It smashes rocks with its head. Bam! A solid hit from this delivers a mighty blow!!

Supplement your shortcomings and take advantage of your strengths. You must cooperate to push on!

Final Smash

<Triple Finish>

It’s the Pokémon Trainer’s Final Smash: Triple Finish! It combines the powers of Squirtle, Ivysaur, and Charizard!

Any one of them can get the Smash Ball.

Go! Triple Finish!

It’s super effective!

These are the moves they use. Isn’t it a beautiful combination? A Fire-type attack, a Water-type attack, and a Grass-type attack? (Not really.)

If an opposing Pokémon gets the Smash Ball, at the very least take care to not be standing immediately beside it.

When you’re particularly close, it hurts. FLEE!
