Super Smash Bros. Brawl Character Profile #5 Wario

Wario

First Game Appearance:
Super Mario Land 2:6 Golden Coins - Game Boy (1992)

Known For:
Greed, greed, greed

BIOGRAPHY:
Originally appeared as the end boss in one of Mario's quests, Wario is essentially Mario's Villianous counterpart-lazy, greedy, selfish, and with a less-well-groomed 'stache. After being shown the error of his ways, Wario sets off on adventures of his own (hoping to get rich quick, naturally) in which his bulk made him suprisingly resilient to the virous hazards he encounted. He achieved his greatest success, however, by founding his own budget-minded software company.Wario's lust for riches maybe matched only by his poor hygiene: his gralic breath and other gaseous emissions are especially potent.

Many fans clamored for Wario to join the fray, and so now he finally makes his appearance...in his WarioWare costume.

It’s rumored that this unpredictable character will give birth to a form of martial arts that other characters cannot even see.

Overalls Wario

This is the standard Wario found in Smash.

Everyone can change colors, of course. But Wario alone is special...

Look! Wario is in overalls!

There may be some people who prefer this one. This is the "classic" Wario.

F-flab is poking out from his sides.

Choose him just like you would any of the other characters. This outfit appears after the six standard color variations.

Press the X or Y Button, or poke the pattern to change colors.

What’s more, this version has its own color variations. What a bonus.

Oh! Talk about individualized!

Special Moves

&alt;Side Special Move: Wario Chopper>

Wario’s side special move is the Wario Chopper. He jumps on and starts racing!

Vroom! Vroom!

Tilt the Control Stick in the opposite direction of your movement to pull a 180. Use an attack button to jump off.

Axle turn!

Only one motorcycle will appear on screen, so if you fall off, run back up to it and climb on again.

Where’s my hog?!

&alt;Down Special Move: Wario Waft>

Oh, and Wario’s down special move is the Wario Waft. That is to say, he passes gas.

This particular special move builds up power the longer you go without using it.

If you haven’t held it in, it’ll be a cute little poot.

But when you hold it in as much as you can...?!

In this case, patience really is a virtue.

Final Smash

<Wario-Man>

Wario’s Final Smash is Wario-Man!

Eat garlic!

Wario-Man!

Even after becoming Wario-Man, you control him as you normally would. And he doesn’t unleash any overwhelmingly powerful attacks.

But he is able to negate a variety of moves and boasts some rather odd abilities...

Punch to pummelpummelpummelpummel!

It’s a sideways-sliding shoulder tackle!

His midair moves make him fly?!

His special moves are also powered up, but the one thing you can’t do is ride his bike.

Don’t do it.

This may seem like a joke, but you absolutely must not ride it.

Tooooooo faaaaaaaaast!!!
